Happy Pups Scratch Pad for Dogs!
Step 1: Have your dog's favourite treats (small sized) ready. Get your dog's taste buds tingling with some delicious treats.
Step 2: Place the treat under the Happy Pups Scratch Pad. Watch your dog's eyes light up as you hide a treat. They should start pawing at the board. It's like canine magic!
Step 3: Let the paw-fect pawing commence! Once your dog shows interest in the Board by stepping on or pawing at it, reward them with a treat. It's like a game of hide and seek, but way cuter. You can use the lighter brown board to hide the treats as well.
Step 4: Keep up the good work! Repeat this paw-some behaviour until your dog is consistently pawing at the board. Practice makes perfect, after all.
Step 5: Raise the woof! You can continue using it on the floor, which will work perfectly fine. If you want to use it at an angle, gradually angle the board against you while you are sitting and treat until it's nearly vertical, between 45° and 90° for optimal a filing. This will encourage your dog to scratch with their nails only, keeping the paws healthy and happy.
Step 6: The paw-sibilities are endless! Remove the Hide Board and treat and revid your dog for every scratch at the board. As you use the Nail Buddy Scratch Pad regularly, turning the board between scratches will keep those nails perfectly rounded
Don't let Nail Buddy's sanding surface wear down over time. Keep it clean with a soft-bristled brush between uses.
